churches

Taking Nicole on a tour of Tegucigalpa.

The church just got repainted when the coup happened. People spray painted their support or prostests on the side of the church. It was so sad to see.

Saying good bye to Nicole. It was wonderful to have her for a week.

Random Photos

The truck was on it's way so Edgar and a neighbor put in a mini driveway.

Because Zelaya entered the country, there was a curfew that shut the country down. No one was allowed to leave their homes for 2 days. So what did we do.....

Watch movies.......and make more banana bread.

Edgar's knee when the first time he tipped his bike over.
When he knee kept getting bigger I decided it was time to R.I.C.E it
I opened our fridge and found this inside. Really Edgar are you to lazy to just take the baby bananas off the branch first? He still makes me laugh.

Things That Make Me Happy

Does our shower look scary, yes> If you want a hot water shower, you have to get this electric shower head. The saddest news is that it no longer is working so I'm back to cold showers, but we will get a new one later.
Going from hand washing clothes to having a washing machine, I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful it is.

I came home one day from school and found shelves in my kitchen. Oh it is nice to have a place to put things!

The Truck

We decided to ship Edgar's truck here, it was less expensive than buying a truck. Long story short he got the phone call to pick it up on the other side of Honduras. I thought he would take two days for the trip. Nope he did it all in one long day leaving home at 4 am and getting back at 2 am. He was so happy to have his truck again and I was happy to see something from Utah!

15th Birthday Parties (quinceanera)

Christmas Time

Our Christmas Tree with power, and our Christmas Tree when the power goes out.
Putting up our Christmas lights.

My present to Edgar this year were fireworks. Hondurans love their fireworks and set them off at midnight Christmas Eve. (They also shoot their guns into the air) It seriously sounds like a war zone for about an hour. Not quite the Christmas I'm use to but it's entertaining.

I'm not so sure why my videos always turn sideways. This is Edgar shooting off one firework, more like a big noise maker!
